Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates 40th birthday hitting training ground, dancing with loved ones

Ronaldo started his birthday on Feb. 5 with a recovery session using a pair of $5,000 therapy tubes at his Saudi Arabia home. These devices are part of the striker's routine to maintain peak physical performance.

Later, Ronaldo posted images from his birthday party on Instagram, earning over 10 million likes.

"Thank you all for the amazing birthday messages! Had a great day with family and friends, couldn’t wish for anything better," he captioned two photos.

Among the comments, Ronaldo's former Manchester United teammate David de Gea playfully posted a grandfather emoji, poking fun at his age.

Ronaldo's birthday party also featured Puerto Rican star singer Rauw Alejandro.

The Portuguese superstar also danced around the birthday cake. After blowing out the candles, Ronaldo received cheers from his loved ones before joining his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez and his mother Maria Dolores Aveiro for a dance.

Earlier that day, Ronaldo still hit the training ground and his club Al Nassr honored their star player with a heartfelt gesture. The club unveiled a video message that read "Happy birthday. Saudi loves you" on the gym’s big screen, before presenting Ronaldo with a cake that showcased highlights of his career.

The cake featured images of Ronaldo celebrating the Champions League trophy with Manchester United, executing a bicycle kick in Juventus jersey and performing his trademark celebrations at Al Nassr.

With an all-time record of 923 goals, Ronaldo's career tally includes 5 for Sporting Lisbon, 145 for Manchester United, 450 for Real Madrid, 101 for Juventus, 135 for Portugal and 87 for Al Nassr. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has also collected four European Golden Boots, a Euro trophy, five Champions League titles, three Premier League, two La Liga and two Serie A.

Ronaldo will have an opportunity to add to his tally and approach closer to the 1,000th-goal mark when Al Nassr faces Al Feiha in a Saudi Pro League on Friday.
