Shin Tae-yong, the former head coach of Indonesia, celebrated with joy as he watched the team secure a 1-0 victory over Bahrain in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
A video shared by Metro TV captured the South Korean coach's reaction as he watched the match between Indonesia and Bahrain on Tuesday night.
When Ole Romeny scored for Indonesia, coach Shin jumped up, clapped his hands and celebrated with excitement. He then hugged Mochamad Iriawan, the former president of Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI), who was sitting beside him.

The clip quickly gained traction online, attracting great attention and interaction from fans. Within hours, it garnered over 700,000 views and 900 shares on social media.
One fan commented: "Coach Shin is still in Indonesia and he's still caring so much about football here."
Another fan wrote: "Coach Shin really loves Indonesian football."
Since his dismissal by PSSI in January, Shin has frequently returned to Indonesia to attend events and watch the national team's matches during his free time.
On Jan. 11, coach Shin posted a message of support for the team on social media: "I want to send my deep gratitude to the Indonesia national team players. The team must win a ticket to the 2026 World Cup. I hope they can perform on a big stage like the World Cup."
The win against Bahrain kept Indonesia in fourth place in group C of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, with nine points, just one behind Saudi Arabia, who they beat in another World Cup qualifying match last November under Shin.
This position currently secures them a spot in the fourth qualifying round. Indonesia will host China at home in the next match in June.
