Enzo Fernandez, Chelsea’s most expensive signing ever, is reported to have started a romantic relationship with Argentine rapper Nicki Nicole, just a month after separating from his wife, Valentina Cervantes.

Fernandez, who struggled to find the net in his first ten Premier League appearances this season, has now scored in Chelsea's last two matches, a 2-1 victory over Leicester City and a 3-0 win against Aston Villa. In both games, the Argentine celebrated his goals by putting his hand to his ear and making a phone call gesture, which U.K. media have speculated to be a reference to his relationship with Nicole.

While neither Fernandez nor Nicole have officially confirmed the romance, Argentine newspaper La Nacion reported that the two had a secret date at Moby Dick nightclub in Buenos Aires in late October. A video of the two at the club went viral on TikTok and Nicole later commented that she was "partying with someone she was dating."

Nicole, whose real name is Denise Cucco, is a 24-year-old rapper known for her 2023 hit song "Llamame". She has 22.6 million Instagram followers, double that of Fernandez. Nicole has also been linked to Formula 1 rising star Franco Colapinto, 21.

Fernandez's personal life has been under the spotlight since his separation from his wife Valentina Cervantes. The couple met in 2018 when Fernandez was 17 and playing for River Plate's youth team. They got married a year later and have two children, Olivia and Benjamin.

According to reports, Fernandez previously told Valentina that he wants to live alone, as he "feels the need to experience the stage he skipped by choosing family early on."

Cervantes is reportedly preparing for divorce proceedings and has denied rumors suggesting their breakup was due to an affair involving Fernandez.

Fernandez is a product of River Plate’s academy, making his first-team debut in 2019. He played for Defensa y Justicia for two years on loan, where he helped the club win Copa Sudamericana and Recopa Sudamericana, before returning to River Plate in 2021.

The 23-year-old made his name at the 2022 World Cup, where Argentina won the title. He impressed in the 2-0 win over Mexico in the group stage, starting in all five of Argentina’s remaining matches and was named Young Player of the Tournament.

Thanks to that, after only half a season playing for Portuguese club Benfica, Fernandez moved to Chelsea for a club record fee of $135.5 million with a contract until 2031. So far, he has scored nine goals and made 11 assists in 79 matches for the English club.
