French rapper Riles Kacimi took album promotion to the next level by running over 200 km on a treadmill for 24 hours.
With three rotating blades placed behind him, the run took place in Paris from noon on Feb. 8 to noon the following day.
Kacimi, who has nearly two million YouTube subscribers, combined his love of running and music into this unconventional challenge. He ran 205.21 km on the treadmill, with over 100,000 viewers online.

Throughout the event, he ran without any music or entertainment, relying solely on the rhythm of his footsteps and the sound of the blades behind him.
This run also sparked curiosity among viewers, especially about how Kacimi managed to stay on the treadmill without frequent bathroom breaks. The secret was a support team, who ensured he stayed hydrated and addressed personal needs efficiently behind a black screen, all while remaining close to the treadmill.

In addition to his music career, Kacimi is an accomplished runner with a marathon personal best of 2 hours and 55 minutes, set in Florence, Italy, in 2023.
Although he fell short of the 24-hour treadmill distance world record of 264.52 km, set by Norwegian runner Jonas Buud in 2018, Kacimi succeeded in garnering attention for his new album "Survival Mode", which was released last month.
"Honestly, we’d love to see more artists take on insane running stunts to promote their albums," Canadian Running Magazine wrote, "but maybe next time, without the blades."
