In a statement on her personal Instagram, Ellie, Jenas' wife, wrote: "I never imagined I would have to share something so personal with the public, but given the situation, I feel it's necessary. After 16 years together and 4 wonderful children, Jermaine and I have decided to part ways.
"We will remain friends and continue to co-parent. We kindly ask that you respect our children's privacy during this challenging time."
In August 2024, Jenas was dropped by the BBC from his roles on "Match of the Day" and "The One Show" after being accused of sending inappropriate messages and harassing two female colleagues.
Following his dismissal, Jenas returned to work at talkSPORT and publicly apologized to Ellie. However, Ellie could not forgive him and kicked him out of their £1 million home in Hertfordshire, The Sun reported.
Jenas expressed his desire to save the marriage, but it seemed impossible.
Currently, Ellie is focused on building her personal brand and participating in social activities with friends. Despite the separation, both are committed to co-parenting and prioritizing the well-being of their children.
Jenas and Ellie married in 2011 and have two daughters, Geneva and Olivia, and a son, Jacob. Jenas also has a daughter from a previous marriage and she now lives with her mother in the U.S.
Born in 1983, Jenas had a successful career playing for several Premier League clubs, including Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Queens Park Rangers. He made 21 appearances for the England national team, scoring one goal, and won the Best Young Player award in the 2002-2003 season
