Football Association of Thailand (FAT) president Nualphan Lamsam, famously known as Madam Pang, made a nice gesture when she supported the medical expenses in Bangkok for Vietnam naturalized striker Nguyen Xuan Son following his severe injury.
"Madam Pang covered the medical expenses for two Thailand players, Teerasak Poeiphimai and Akaraphong Phumwiset, to treat their injuries. Additionally, she coordinated and supported Nguyen Xuan Son of Vietnam after he broke his leg in the second leg of the 2024 ASEAN Cup final," Thairath wrote.
The Thai billionaire heiress personally ensured that Son received the necessary treatment and care during his stay in Thailand before he returned to Vietnam with his team, receiving praises for her dedication and sportsmanship.

Son, 27, sustained a serious injury while attempting a pass in the first half of the final at Rajamangala Stadium on Sunday, fracturing his right leg. The Brazilian-born striker was immediately transported to a hospital in Bangkok, where all procedures and medical care went smoothly, thanks to Madam Pang's support.
Despite losing their key striker early, Vietnam went on to win the game 3-2 and clinched the title with a 5-3 aggregate victory after two legs of the final.
Madam Pang has long been admired within the Vietnamese football community. Her actions at the 2024 ASEAN Cup further reinforced her reputation.
Despite Thailand's loss in the final, Madam Pang maintained her composure with a warm smile as she personally greeted and congratulated Vietnamese fans and players on their title victory. She later shared a video on social media with the message: "Thank you for your friendship."
Madam Pang, 57, is a businesswoman, politician and scion of one of Thailand's wealthiest families. She is also a prominent figure in Thai football, having played pivotal roles in both men's and women's teams over the past decade.
Under her leadership, the women's national team participated in the 2015 and 2019 World Cup, while the men's team secured back-to-back ASEAN Cup titles in 2020 and 2022. As president of Port FC, she has also helped the club become a force in the Thai League.
In February 2024, she made history as the first woman elected as the 18th president of FAT, winning the majority of votes.
