Nguyen Huynh Phu Vinh, the star of Vietnam's top basketball club Saigon Heat, celebrated his 10th anniversary of love with his wife Thuy Uyen by sharing a series of romantic photos.
Phu Vinh, 26, is Vietnam's tallest basketball player at 2.03 m.
Vinh and his wife Uyen celebrated their 10th anniversary together on Wednesday, posting their photos throughout the years, sharing sweet words for each other.
Vinh and Uyen have been together since 2015 when they studied together in a high school in Can Tho in the Mekong Delta.
Uyen said she was the one who made the first move after getting to know each other on Facebook.
In September 2022, Vinh proposed to Uyen after he and Saigon Heat won the 2022 VBA (Vietnam Basketball Association) championship. The two exchanged a kiss while teammates cheered for them.
The couple tied the knot in March 2023.
Uyen said that during their years of dating, the two went through many challenges, from long-distance relationships, arguments, breakups and reunions.
She often accompanies him and shows support during tournaments of Saigon Heat and the national team.
Vinh has expressed his love for his wife many times on social media, saying that if he could turn back time, he would still choose Uyen.
Uyen is 1.62 m tall but still looks small when standing next to her husband.
With a height difference of more than 40 cm, Uyen had to stand on tiptoe and Vinh had to bend down so she could kiss his cheek.
Vinh has won 6 VBA championships, including one with Cantho Catfish and 5 times with Saigon Heat.
"I want to thank us for all our efforts, for holding hands through every challenge, for being gentle and kind to each other despite all the pressure, and for growing together. I hope the future continues to bring us many good things," Uyen wrote a heartfelt message to her husband on social media.
