The Aquathlon tournament Aquaman Vietnam 2026 opened registration on May 28 and will take place at the beachfront Hoiana Resort & Golf.
The event, officially named Hoiana Aquaman 2026, is scheduled for July 26 and will feature a combination of open-water swimming and running. It is aimed at endurance sports enthusiasts and travelers seeking a race-cation experience.
This year's edition offers multiple race categories for both experienced athletes and beginners. The flagship individual Aquaman race, open to participants aged 18 and above, consists of a 2-km sea swim and a 21-km run. The Super Early Bird (SEB) entry fee is VND1.09 million (US$41.39). The relay category, featuring the same distance, is priced at VND1.39 million (US$52.78).

Organizers will also continue offering shorter-distance categories, including Half Aqua (1-km swim, 10-km run) for athletes aged 16 and above, Sprint Aqua (500-m swim, 5-km run) for participants aged 10 and above, and Aqua Kid for children aged 6-10, featuring a 200-m swim and a 1-km run.
Super Early Bird entry fees are VND890,000 (US$33.8) for Half Aqua, VND690,000 (US$26.2) for Sprint Aqua, and VND450,000 (US$19) for Aqua Kid. The promotional registration period runs through June 16.

A notable addition this year is a group discount program of up to 30%, the largest discount ever offered by the race series. According to organizers, the initiative is designed to encourage clubs, groups of friends, and families to participate together while combining sports and leisure travel.
In addition, athletes registering for individual race bibs can access exclusive accommodation packages at Hoiana Resort & Golf, with room rates starting at VND2.3 million per night. The offer is available exclusively to Aquaman participants during the event period.

Aquaman Vietnam is the country's first aquathlon event and is part of the VnExpress Marathon race system. Launched in 2022, the race has been held in Tra Co, Quang Ninh Province (2022), Phan Thiet, Lam Dong Province (2023), and Ho Tram, Ho Chi Minh City (2024).
The event has grown steadily from around 1,000 participants in its inaugural year to more than 2,000 athletes. Previous editions featured strong performances from champions such as Vu Dinh Duan, winner of the men's title in 2022 and 2023, along with Nguyen Phan Thuy Van and Kim Cuong. Organizers say the event has helped promote endurance sports combined with resort tourism in Vietnam.
With its long beachfront, integrated resort facilities, and coastal routes suited for endurance competitions, Hoiana Resort & Golf is expected to provide an ideal race venue for participants. Taking place during the peak of summer travel, the event is also expected to contribute to tourism growth in Da Nang and central Vietnam.
