In a sports world obsessed with industrial supplements and meticulous calorie counting, Haaland writes his own rules. The Manchester City star's impressive form and numerous records stem from a diet completely different from mainstream sports nutrition, according to Hola!

While many colleagues adhere to traditional athlete meals like chicken breast and pasta, Haaland's consistent consumption of nutrient-rich, locally sourced animal organs has become his competitive edge in the Premier League.

Every day, Haaland consumes a massive amount of food, totaling roughly 6,000 calories, almost double the intake of an average adult. However, his diet completely left out processed foods.

Instead, he adheres to an ancestral diet. His daily menu includes beef heart, beef liver, Tomahawk steak, raw honey, sea bass, asparagus, egg fried rice and plenty of milk.

"You don't eat this, but I am concerned with taking care of my body," Haaland said in his documentary, Haaland: The Big Decision. "I think eating quality food that is as local as possible is the most important. Or the local cow eating grass right over there? I eat the heart and the liver."

According to the striker, consuming high-quality, locally sourced food is key. He emphasizes that the origin of the food matters just as much as the food itself. He explains that people often dismiss meat as unhealthy, but they fail to distinguish between fast-food burgers and locally raised, grass-fed cattle.

Besides organ meats, Haaland's regimen includes a unique dietary staple: unpasteurized fresh milk. He incorporates this milk into his breakfast alongside eggs and sourdough bread, and even mixes it directly into his morning coffee. He considers coffee a superfood when prepared correctly with a little milk.

Haaland's diet has sparked debate among nutrition experts. Some consider it the peak of personalized sports nutrition, pointing to the extreme nutrient density of organ meats. Meanwhile, others warn that it is an extreme model that carries potential risks, such as parasitic infections from consuming raw or undercooked dairy and organs. They strongly advise ordinary people against imitating it without strict medical supervision.

Haaland remains unbothered by these concerns. He firmly believes that the quality of his ingredients is the key to safety, and that strict control over his food's origins minimizes any associated risks.

In addition to his unique diet, Haaland invests heavily in his physical recovery. His daily routine includes red light therapy, hot stone baths, saunas and physiotherapy. He also emphasizes the importance of morning sunlight and fresh air, revealing that one of his favorite summer activities is eating breakfast outdoors to benefit his circadian rhythm, according to The Telegraph.

Haaland, 25, is considered one of the best players in the world and the greatest Norwegian player ever. As his country's all-time top scorer, he played a crucial role in helping Norway qualify for the 2026 World Cup, ending a 27-year wait for the nation.

Norway are set to open their highly anticipated campaign against Iraq on Wednesday morning (Hanoi time), before facing Senegal and France in their next group-stage matches.
