Former Brazilian football star Kaká goes viral after appearing with wife and ex-wife at daughter's birthday party

The heartwarming snap was shared on Kaká's social media on May 9. It marks the very first time the 44-year-old former player has publicly posted a photo featuring his ex-wife, model and businesswoman Caroline Celico (3rd, R), since their highly publicized divorce in 2015.

According to Portal Leodias, the two families gathered in their hometown of São Paulo in Brazil to celebrate the birthday of Isabella, the second child from Kaka's first marriage. While she officially turned 15 on April 23, the celebration was delayed to accommodate the busy schedules of both families.

It was the first time Kaka's current wife, model Carolina Dias (L), and his ex-wife appeared together in the same location. Celico's second husband, businessman Eduardo Scarpa Juliao (R), also attended the birthday party.

Kaká is considered one of the greatest players of all time. He is one of the 10 players to have won the World Cup, Champions League and Ballon d'Or, having played for São Paolo, AC Milan and Real Madrid.

The celebration was filled with emotion. Revista Quem Globo reported that Isabella could not hold back her tears as her biological parents read heartfelt letters expressing their deep love and pride.

Kaká, Celico, Isabella, and her older brother Luca, 18, were captured in the same frame for the first time since the divorce.

Over the past 11 years, the former couple have maintained a healthy relationship.

Their primary goal has always been to ensure their children grow up in a civilized, loving environment without feeling abandoned.

According to Vogue, Kaká and Celico were once considered the ultimate fairytale couple in the Brazilian sports and entertainment scene. They began dating as teenagers, married in 2005, and had two children together.

During Kaka's decorated football career, Celico paused her own dreams in fashion design to follow him across Europe and the U.S. The couple separated in 2015 despite Kaka's attempts to reconcile.

While international media once spread a rumor that Celico left Kaká because he was "too perfect," this was confirmed as fake news. After the divorce, Celico rarely mentions her ex-husband in interviews to maintain boundaries and respect their lives.

Celico emotionally walked her daughter to the center circle, where Kaká was waiting for the traditional opening dance. All three shared a tearful moment, with Isabella repeatedly expressing her gratitude for both her parents and their new partners.

Both Kaká and Celico have quickly built new families after their divorce. Kaka married Brazilian model Carolina Dias in 2019, sharing two young daughters, Esther and Sarah. Celico married Eduardo Scarpa Juliao in 2021, and they welcomed their son, Rafael, in 2024.
