Concerned that her husband might have an affair while working away from home, the wife of coach Liu Weiwei has asked Chinese basketball fans to keep an eye on him.
"My husband and I live apart, relying on trust," the Qingdao Eagles head coach's wife wrote on social media. "If there is anyone trying to seduce him, I hope fans across the country will help me catch him in the act."
According to QQ, Chinese Basketball Association coaches often travel extensively during the season, rarely working in their hometown, leading to limited time with their families.
"Our family is so beautiful," Liu wrote a caption under a family photo. "Being a coach's wife is very challenging. For the past 18 years, I have shouldered the responsibility of the family, raised the children and supported my husband's career. The key is to have the courage to resist outside interference and maintain the integrity of the family."

When one account commented, "Being a coach is already under a lot of pressure, how can they have time to think about other things?" she replied, "Really?"
Another person jokingly said, "If I have such a beautiful wife, I would just want to go home."

He is considered a dedicated, hard-working coach and has achieved significant successes. He led Zhejiang to the playoffs multiple times, transforming the team into a force in China. After joining Qingdao, he continued to guide the club to the playoffs.
The CBA is the top men's professional basketball league in China. Many Chinese players have played in the CBA before joining the NBA, such as Wang Zhizhi, Mengke Bateer, Yao Ming, Yi Jianlian, Sun Yue and Zhou Qi. Some other players, like Xue Yuyang and Wang Zhelin, were selected in the NBA draft but have never played in the league.
Each CBA team are only allowed a certain number of foreign players. Notable ones include former NBA stars such as Stephon Marbury, Tracy McGrady, Gilbert Arenas, Steve Francis, Metta World Peace and Kenyon Martin.
In the 2024-2025 season, Zhejiang lead the league with 38 wins and 6 losses, while Qingdao are eighth with 30 wins and 15 defeats.
