Madam Pang's love story with police colonel husband

On March 12, Madam Pang posted photos on social media of her and Narat Sawettanan holding hands at an event, captioned "My love." This post from her garnered attention, especially when FAT was facing a challenging period following a lawsuit loss to media company Siam Sport, resulting in a 360 million baht ($10.6 million) payment, plus interest.

Madam Pang, 59, and Colonel Sawettanan, 64, married in 2014, marking her second marriage. She was previously married to Dr. Watchara Phanachet, with whom she has a daughter, Prang Nuanwan Phanchet. They separated in 2005.

Sawettanan is a Police Colonel with a PhD. He is the son of Police Major General Nitat Sawettanan and Associate Professor Dr. Amornrat Sawettanan. Before his retirement in 2020, Sawettanan held prominent positions including Inspector General of the Ministry of Justice, Director General of the Department of Probation and many more.

Madam Pang and Sawettanan's paths crossed in 2009 during their studies at the Capital Market Academy. Sawettanan was captivated by Madam Pang upon their first meeting. As classmates with a shared professor, their relationship deepened through regular interactions and discussions.

Colonel Sawettanan recounts that their connection grew through daily text exchanges, from morning until night. He initially felt some apprehension due to Madam Pang's affinity for luxury brands. However, he soon found her to be simple and sincere, Praew reported.

The couple originally planned to marry in March 2014, but the wedding was postponed when Sawettanan was diagnosed with a brain tumor in late 2013. Madam Pang moved the wedding to Jan. 19, 2014, to provide him with care as his wife.

The couple frequently attends events together. Colonel Sawettanan describes himself as methodical and calm, traits that complement Madam Pang's decisive and risk-taking nature as a businesswoman. They find balance in their contrasting approaches.
