Football Association of Thailand (FAT) president Madam Pang turned heads when she arrived in Vietnam wearing a designer outfit with a Hermes bag and a watch valued at over $340,000.

Landing at Noi Bai International Airport at 11:50 a.m. on Thursday, Madam Pang wore a Richard Mille timepiece estimated at $340,000, carried a Hermes handbag worth approximately $16,500 and completed the look with a brown Hermes jacket costing around $7,000.

The purpose of her visit is to promote cooperation in women’s football between Vietnam and Thailand, celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations. At 3 p.m., she attended a friendly match between Vietnam and Thailand U17 women’s teams in Hanoi.

Nualphan Lamsam, commonly known as Madam Pang, hails from the Lamsam family, one of Thailand’s wealthiest and most influential business dynasties. According to Forbes, the family’s total assets are estimated at $890 million.

Madam Pang earned her degree in Business Administration from Chulalongkorn University and later completed a master’s degree abroad. Currently, she serves as president and CEO of Muang Thai Insurance Group, one of the country’s leading insurers. She is also the co-owner of Meister Technik, which distributes the Audi brand in Thailand.

In football, Madam Pang is also the president of domestic club Port FC and became FAT President in February 2024, winning a record 68 out of 73 votes (93%). She is the first woman in Thailand and Asia to lead a national football federation.

From August 2021 to January 2024, she served as head of the Thai football delegation. During that time, she personally spent around 60 million baht ($1.75 million) to reward Thailand teams participating in regional and continental tournaments, helping them win back-to-back AFF Cup titles in 2021 and 2022.
