With her striking appearance and captivating aura, Baek Chae-rim of South Korea's Suwon City was named Miss Volleyball at the international women's tournament VTV9 - Binh Dien Cup.
The 1.74 m tall outside hitter, born in 1998, serves as the captain of Suwon City.
Possessing a cinematic appearance, she is also the spiritual leader of her squad, highly regarded for her energetic playing style and fierce competitive spirit.
Baek served as Suwon's main scorer and tanked the majority of the team's work during matches.
She also earned praise for her positive attitude. Even when her team faced difficulties or made errors, the captain maintained a bright smile and constantly encouraged her younger teammates.
Thanks to her all-around talent and charisma, Baek won Miss Volleyball of the tournament, securing the majority of votes from experts, fans and media.
Baek's close friend and teammate, 23-year-old Lee Ye Dam (R), was also recognized, receiving an award for the foreign player who best modeled traditional Vietnamese attire, rocking the ao ba ba, the garment of people in the Mekong Delta.
Both South Korean athletes expressed their appreciation for the beautiful landscapes and the welcoming nature of the Vietnamese fans, adding that they hope to return to the country for future competitions.
The 15th VTV9 - Binh Dien International Women's Volleyball Cup took place from May 15 to 23 in Tay Ninh Province in southern Vietnam. The event featured top Vietnamese women's clubs. They were joined by three top-tier Asian guest teams: Jiangsu (China), Suwon City (South Korea), and Gunma Green Wings (Japan).
In the final, Jiangsu claimed the championship after defeating Binh Dien Long An 3-0, while Hanoi Tasco Auto secured third place. The 2027 edition of the tournament is scheduled to be held in Dong Nai Province.
